Top 100 QB Brady Hart flips from Michigan to Texas A&M, reclassifies to 2025
Michigan Wolverines football lost a key piece for the future Friday morning, with Cocoa (Fla.) High top 100 quarterback Brady Hart flipping his commitment from U-M to Texas A&M.
Hart, committed to Michigan June 18, will also reclassify from the 2026 class to 2025, meaning he’ll begin his college football career next season. Michigan has a quarterback commit for 2025 in the fold — Belleville (Mich.) High five-star+ prospect Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit in the class.
Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell just visited Hart for one of his games during the Wolverines’ bye week Nov. 15.
“It means a lot,” Hart told TheWolverine.com’s EJ Holland, who was also in attendance at the game. “They could go anywhere in the country, and they came here for Round 1. It’s pretty special for those guys to come out here. They are like family now. I’m so comfortable with them. I really trust them and think highly of them.”
Hart also said he was willing to “compete with anybody,” but that was under the pretense that he was coming to college in 2026. Programs rarely bring in two highly-rated quarterbacks in the same class, and Hart will instead head to College Station. The Aggies didn’t have a quarterback pledge in 2025 until Hart joined the class.
He did comment on the possibility of reclassifying during the interview, but didn’t indicate that it was likely he was going to move classes.

“It’s in the back of our minds, but we haven’t had an in-depth conversation with Michigan or anything like that,” Hart said. “I think I can benefit from another year at Cocoa.”
Hart is currently unranked in 2025, since he just changed to the class, but he was ranked inside the top 100 of the 2026 class before making the switch.
The signal-caller had this to say after originally making his pledge to the Wolverines following a summer visit: “It exceeded my expectations,” Hart said. “It’s an amazing place. It was spectacular. I enjoyed spending time with Coach (Kirk) Campbell and Coach (Sherrone) Moore. The biggest thing was listening to their philosophy on how things are going to move forward without Coach (Jim) Harbaugh there. I don’t think the program is going to skip a beat. Michigan has been winning. They won a national championship last year. That’s what Michigan does. They’ve won forever, and they are going to keep winning.”
