Michigan Wolverines football has three players at the senior bowl in wide receiver Ronnie Bell, offensive lineman Ryan Hayes and center Olusegun Oluwatimi. Here are the measurements and notes on each after the first day of practice.

Ronnie Bell

Measurements

Height: 5112

Weight: 192

Hand: 9 4/8″

Arm: 31 1/8″

Wing: 75″

Notes

• The NFL Network broadcast discussed Bell for a minute or so and raved about his competitiveness. There was also an eye-opening comparison to Detroit Lions second-year wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown, a fourth-round pick in 2021 who’s already totaled over 2,000 receiving yards in his career.

“He’s a tough, competitive dude,” NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah said of Bell. “You see it in the run game, you see it when he gets the ball in his hands, you see it when he’s fighting for the ball up in the air.

“It’s kinda hard to play for a Harbaugh and not be tough and competitive. They’re going to make you be that way,” analyst Charles Davis chimed in.

“He gave me a little bit of Amon-Ra St. Brown vibe when I watched him,” Jeremiah added. “That young man is a Pro Bowler now.”

• Bell had a nice rep on former Ohio State safety Ronnie Hickman, connecting on a slant route.

Ryan Hayes

Measurements

Height: 6065

Weight: 305

Hand: 10″

Arm: 32 6/8″

Wing: 79 4/8″

Notes

• Hayes repped mostly at right tackle. He played exclusively at left tackle during his time at Michigan.

• He had a rough pass protection rep against Notre Dame defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey. The Irish standout used a power move and knocked Hayes on his backside.

The Michigan lineman bounced back with a nice one-on-rep his next time up, though.

Olusegun Oluwatimi

Measurements

Height: 6025

Weight: 308

Hand: 8 5/8″

Arm: 33″

Wing: 80″

Notes

• Oluwatimi was arguably the best offensive lineman in the country last season, having been named the nation’s top center and interior offensive lineman. ESPN.com’s Mel Kiper Jr. named him the second-best center in the draft class in his latest position rankings, though he doesn’t appear as a first- or second-round draft pick on any mocks we’ve seen yet. That doesn’t mean he won’t have a strong NFL career, though.

“Scouts I’ve talked to say he has off-the-charts intangibles,” NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero said on the Senior Bowl practice broadcast. “And he’s played a lot of football — from Air Force to Virginia to the grad transfer year at Michigan.”

“We’re seeing a lot of these centers that don’t have to be highly rated, that don’t have to be in the top two rounds of the draft,” analyst Charles Davis added. “[Los Angeles Chargers center] Corey Linsley — when did he go? Fifth round guy, and he’s an All-Pro. [Philadelphia Eagles center] Jason Kelce was not highly regarded coming out [of college], and he’s maybe the best center we’ve seen. So, these centers, those intangibles that Tom’s talking about go a long way at that position, in terms of getting people ready to go.”
