Michigan picked up a verbal commitment from On300 2024 offensive lineman Luke Hamilton just a day after the Wolverines took down rival Ohio State in Columbus.

The Avon (Ohio) High product sided with U-M over offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin and others.

Hamilton picked Michigan over offers from Boston College, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others.

He announced his pledge via social media.

“First off, I would like to thank everyone in my life that has helped me get to this point,” Hamilton said on social media. “Especially my parents who have constantly supported me through everything – I can’t thank them enough. I’d like to thank God for giving me the ability to play at the next level and be in this situation. I’d also like to thank my Avon coaches and teammates who have helped me grow as a player, and as a person. Lastly, I’d like to thank all the coaches who have recruited me during this whole process. With all of this being said, I am blessed to announce that I am committing to the University of Michigan.”

Hamilton made an unofficial visit to Michigan for its game against rival Michigan State last month. It was there where Hamilton really fell in love with the program, and the Wolverines began to trend on the On3 Prediction Machine.

At 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, Hamilton projects as an interior offensive lineman at the next level.

Hamilton is ranked as the No. 15 interior offensive lineman and No. 215 overall prospect nationally next cycle, per the On3 Consensus. He is also ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit in the state of Ohio.
