The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was in Washington D.C. over the weekend and saw five-star 2023 Michigan athlete target Nyckoles Harbor in game acton.

Harbor recorded one tackle, one sack, a handful of quarterback hurries and one reception for 11 yards in Carroll’s loss in the DCAA state semifinals. Harbor played defensive end, tight end and wide receiver throughout the contest.

Here are full clips from the game.

Michigan hosted Harbor for an official visit earlier this fall as he took in U-M’s win over Maryland and got an in-depth look at the program on and off the field.

“It went well,” Harbor said. “They rolled out the red carpet. I saw everything. I saw the football side, the academic side and the student side. It was a really good official visit.”

One of the most fascinating recruits in recent memory, Harbor is a freak athlete at 6-foot-5, 225 pounds with 10.22 speed. Harbor may project best as an EDGE, but he is leaning towards playing wide receiver or tight end at the next level.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and the rest of the staff made it clear that they see Harbor as a pure football player.

“It was a great conversation,” Harbor said. “They talked about how they would use me on offense and defense and what I would mostly play. They want me on the offensive side of the ball, but they also want me on the defensive side — two-sided athlete.”

Harbor is set to make his decision in February.

Harbor is ranked as the No. 1 athlete and No. 13 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Consensus.

Michigan has 19 commits in its 2023 recruiting class — On300 offensive lineman Nathan Efobi, On300 offensive tackle Evan Link, On300 EDGE Enow Etta, consensus four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring, four-star EDGE Collins Acheampong, four-star running back Cole Cabana, four-star linebacker Semaj Bridgeman, four-star tight end Deakon Tonielli, three-star wide receivers Semaj Morgan and Fredrick Moore, three-star defensive lineman Brooks Bahr, three-star running back Benjamin Hall, three-star EDGE Aymeric Koumba, three-star tight end Zack Marshall, three-star athletes Kendrick Bell and Jason Hewlett, three-star linebacker Breeon Ishmail, three-star cornerback Cameron Calhoun and three-star kicker Adam Samaha.
