Following last week’s open date, Mississippi State returns to action Saturday as the Bulldogs host Missouri at Davis Wade Stadium. It also marks the final home game of the season for the Bulldogs before closing out the season next Friday with the Egg Bowl.

The Bulldogs enter Saturday with a 2-8 overall record and an 0-6 mark in the SEC. Meanwhile, Missouri is 7-3 overall and 3-3 within the SEC, and the Tigers fell out of the national rankings this week for the first time all season after falling at South Carolina last Saturday.

Saturday marks just the fifth all-time meeting between the two schools. The all-time series is tied at 2-2 with Mississippi State winning the only game that was previously played in Starkville. That meeting came during the 2020 season when the Bulldogs captured a 51-32 victory over the Tigers.
