NC State coach Dave Doeren has preached his team’s need to play “complementary football” with all three phases of the team clicking at the same time. So far this season, it struggled to find enough consistency to do so through the first eight games. But under the lights of Carter-Finley Stadium, the Wolfpack did just that as it downed No. 8 Georgia Tech 48-36 on Saturday night. Finally, after an up-and-down first two-thirds of the season, NC State proved it was able to be a complete team when it mattered most. “It’s unfortunate it’s taken us a while to play a whole game that way,” Doeren said postgame. “Tonight, we put it all together. I’d been telling them that it'd be really fun to see how good we are if we could play four quarters of complementary football. I don’t think anyone can beat us when we play like that.” Let’s take a look at each phase of the Pack’s game and how they did in the win. Here are the week’s grades for NC State’s offense, defense and special teams.
