NC State football returns to Carter-Finley Stadium Saturday afternoon with questions to answer. The Wolfpack offense struggled mightily against Tennessee in a 51-10 loss at Bank of America Stadium, setting up a potential bounce-back game against Louisiana Tech.

Kickoff is scheduled for noon in Raleigh, and the ACC Network will broadcast the non-conference contest. The Bulldogs come into this game 1-0 after spending Week 2 on a bye. Louisiana Tech beat Nicholls, an FCS school, 25-17 in its season opener.

During this game, the Wolfpack offense will have a chance to recover from a 3-turnover performance that put the defense’s back against the wall and caused the game to spiral out of control on a national stage.

To preview the matchup, Noah Fleischman and Ethan McDowell sat down to record another episode of The Wolfpacker Show.

During this episode of The Wolfpacker Show…

*** The hosts shared their initial thoughts on Louisiana Tech. Coming into this game off of a bye week, the Bulldogs had plenty of time to prepare for this matchup. That does not concern Ethan or Noah, and they dove into why this showdown should be a comfortable win for the Wolfpack.

*** They talked about both sides of the ball for NC State’s opponent. Running back Marquis Crosby is the program’s main source of offense and the team’s top playmaker. Louisiana Tech quarterback Jack Turner, a 6-5 pocket passer, left the team’s Week 1 game with a knee injury, but he is expected to play. He threw for 70 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception to open his season.

*** The Bulldog offense turned the ball over 5 times against Nicholls— 3 interceptions and 2 lost fumbles. If that trend continues, an opportunistic NC state defense should be able to take advantage and help the Pack win the field position battle. Defensively, both hosts complimented standout linebacker Kolbe Fields.

*** Ethan and Noah spent most of the show talking about what they want to see from NC State. The team needs to establish a rushing attack, and that will be the No. 1 thing both hosts watch for Saturday afternoon.

*** To wrap up the show, both hosts predicted who will lead the team in rushing, receiving and tackling before picking the final score.
