Is Notre Dame the leader for Larsen?

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the answer is yes. The Fighting Irish sit at 93.9 percent, which is obviously a vey heavy lean towards Notre Dame.

On3’s RPM was released to the public in early December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits and historical trends.

While the RPM heavily favors Notre Dame, where Larsen will actually choose obviously remains to be seen. Among his top five, he’s visited N.C. State and South Carolina a few times apiece, but per his On3 visit center, Notre Dame is the school Larsen has been to the most. The four-star prospect visited Notre Dame last July, for the North Carolina game last October, again this April and for Irish Invasion in early June.

Larsen ranks as the No. 245 overall recruit and No. 14 tight end per the 2024 On3 Consensus. He’s also the No. 4 prospect from his home state of North Carolina.

Larsen shined at Irish Invasion

He was one of the marquee recruits at Notre Dame’s top prospect camp of June, and Blue & Gold was thoroughly impressed with his performance, naming him the offensive MVP of the event.

“In all honesty, Larsen may have had the best performance of any player on the day, which is saying something considering the amount of strong performances today,” Blue & Gold’s Mike Singer wrote. “In his testing, you could see the Notre Dame coaches buzzing about how he moved, and Larsen couldn’t be stopped in the one-on-ones. No one could cover him. He was too physical and had a knack for creating separation. There’s no doubt that Larsen is one of the best tight ends in the 2024 class.”
