While there is still a lot left for Notre Dame to accomplish at wide receiver in the 2023 class, position coach Chansi Stuckey and Co. are off to a good head start for the 2024 cycle too.

There are several names to know at wideout for prospects entering their junior year of high school, led by Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South’s Cam Williams, the No. 75 overall player and No. 12 receiver nationally. He will announce his commitment live on Wednesday and the Irish are on his short list. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) favors Notre Dame in the Williams’ sweepstakes.

St. Louis University High’s Ryan Wingo, a five-star prospect and No. 4 overall player in America, is fresh off a visit to Notre Dame. He was in South Bend last Thursday and raved about his trip in an interview with Blue & Gold.

Temple (Texas) Lake Belton’s Micah Hudson is another five-star receiver who Notre Dame is in pursuit of, and the Irish staff would love to get the No. 5 player and No. 2 wideout nationally on campus.

St. Louis Christian Brothers’ Jeremiah McClellan and Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day’s Bredell Richardson are a pair of four-star receivers who are big targets as well.

Notre Dame has offered a pair of in-state pass catchers. Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northside’s Tae Johnson, the No. 67 prospect and No. 10 wide receiver, picked up an offer from ND after a strong performance at Irish Invasion. New Haven (Ind.) High’s Mylan Graham landed his offer from Notre Dame that day as well.

Notre Dame legacy Emmett Mosley, the No. 223 player and No. 19 “athlete” in the land, is certainly one to watch. The On3 RPM favors the Irish in his recruitment.

There are a handful of other wide receivers who Notre Dame has offered in the 2024 class too.

Quote of the day

“I was texting with him a week earlier telling him I was going to Notre Dame. He said that he’d try to come down there for it, but a day or two later, he said he couldn’t make it because he had some stuff going on. And then he popped up on us, which was pretty cool.”
