FIVE NORTH CAROLINA PLAYERS TO KNOW

QB #10 Drake Maye: The first-year starter has tossed 11 touchdowns with just 1 interception in his first three games, averaging 9.6 yards per attempt. He also has 146 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.

RB #28 Omarion Hampton: A true freshman and a former top-150 recruit, Hampton has a team-high 228 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on 6.0 yards per carry.

WR #11 Josh Downs: The first-team All-ACC receiver is expected to play after missing the last two games due to a knee injury. Downs set program records with 101 catches and 1,335 receiving yards in 2021. He had 10 receptions for 142 yards against Notre Dame last year.

DL #7 Noah Taylor: The Virginia grad transfer has a team-high 2.5 sacks through three games, to go with 11 tackles and 8 quarterback pressures. He starts opposite junior Kaimon Rucker, who has a team-best 9 pressures and 4.0 tackles for loss.

CB #1 Tony Grimes: A former five-star recruit, Grimes, leads North Carolina with 3 pass breakups and has allowed just 5 catches for 49 yards on 11 targets.
