Michigan knocked off Ohio State on Saturday to complete a perfect regular season, and the Wolverines have picked up a few new commitments in the past few days. Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South class of 2024 wide receiver and Notre Dame commit Cam Williams actually grew up a fan of Michigan. Is any of this giving Williams second thoughts?

One Wolverines’ fan tweeted Williams this week and asked the four-star recruit if he “wanted in on this.”

Williams’ response?

“nope”

As of writing this article, Williams’ tweet has nearly 2,800 “likes” and over 150 “retweets” on Twitter. While social media can be a cesspool at times, this was Twitter at its finest. Williams’ simple response to shut down his interest in a rival school is exactly what Fighting Irish fans want to see.

Williams ranks as the nation’s No. 39 overall player and No. 7 wide receiver according to the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“I had been thinking about it, and Notre Dame has given me a bunch of time to make my decision. Honestly, it was more time than I expected. That showed a lot to me. I thought it was time to get it figured out with signing day being soon. [Sunday] was the perfect day.”
