Jac Collinsworth, a 2017 graduate of the university, is the play-by-play announcer. Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is the color analyst, and Zora Stephenson is the sideline reporter.

Notre Dame’s home opener against Marshall, a 26-21 loss Sept. 10, drew 2.48 million viewers. That’s nearly 1 million more than the last home opener against a Group of Five opponent that was on NBC. The first 2019 home game against New Mexico had 1.5 million viewers. (Last year’s home opener vs. Toledo was exclusively streamed on Peacock).

The Irish’s first game of 2022 should stand as one of the most-watched games of the year. Their 21-10 loss to Ohio State Sept. 3 (televised on ABC) garnered 10.5 million viewers, which was more than all but one FBS regular-season contest last season (Ohio State vs. Michigan had 15.9 million). It’s now the No. 2 most watched this season after the Sept. 10 Alabama vs. Texas game drew 10.6 million viewers.
