Notre Dame wide receiver commit Jaden Greathouse played the final high school football game of his career this past weekend. And oh, what a career it was.

Hailing from the powerhouse program that put Super Bowl champions Drew Brees, Nick Foles and Justin Tucker in the NFL (Austin Westlake), Greathouse posted the best numbers at his position in school history. He finished No. 1 in Westlake history in career receptions (232), receiving yards (4,035) and receiving touchdowns (53).

The 6-2, 219-pound Greathouse is the No. 158 overall player and the No. 24 wide receiver in the class of 2023 according to the On3 Consensus Recruiting Rankings. He’s set to sign with the Fighting Irish as a pass-catcher who could come in and contribute right away in South Bend.

Just under one week out from the early signing period opening on Dec. 21, the Irish currently have the No. 3 recruiting class of 2023 in the country per On3’s rankings. As talented as Greathouse is, he’s the No. 9 rated commit in the Irish’s class. It’s a class currently headlined by Denton (Texas) Guyer High School safety Peyton Bowen, the only On3 Consensus five-star prospect among the Irish’s 26 commits.
