Austin (Texas) Westlake class of 2023 wide receiver Jaden Greathouse will make his commitment July 15, he announced in a tweet Tuesday afternoon. Back on May 1, Greathouse announced a top-four schools list of Notre Dame, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.

The four-star prospect took three official visits in June. He saw Oklahoma the first weekend of the month, followed by South Carolina the following weekend and finished up with Notre Dame June 17.

“The trip was great,” he told Blue & Gold after his Notre Dame official visit. “I had a good time with the players and coaches, and they definitely put on a big show for me.”

He was expected to officially visit Texas June 24 but had a 7v7 Tournament scheduled that weekend and cancelled the local trip. The Longhorns should still be considered a threat, though, as Five Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning committed to the Longhorns recently.

“I love Notre Dame just like the rest of my schools and am looking forward to making a decision,” Greathouse also said following his June trip to South Bend.

Notre Dame currently has two commitments at wide receiver in the 2023 class. Fellow Austin-area native Braylon James from Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point High picked the Irish in the spring, and Notre Dame added a pledge Folsom (Calif.) High’s Rico Flores Jr. on Sunday.

The Fighting Irish hope to earn a commitment from Greathouse next Friday and land Burlington (Mass.) Buckingham Browne & Nichols School’s Ronan Hanafin to make in an impressive quartet.

According to the 2023 On3 Consensus, Greathouse ranks as the nation’s No. 126 overall player and No. 20 wide receiver. He’s also the No. 21 overall player from his home state of Texas.

Greathouse has an NIL Valuation of $126,000, which slots him at No. 109 in the high school football NIL rankings. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Notre Dame is up to 19 commitments in its 2023 class with one five-star prospect (EDGE Keon Keeley) and 15 four-star prospects. Six of the Irish’s commitments rank inside the top-100 of the On3 Consensus rankings. The Irish also have the No. 1 class per the 2023 On3 Consensus Football Team Recruiting Rankings.
