In a weekly YouTube live show that airs each Wednesday, BlueandGold.com’s Tim Hyde and Mike Singer discuss and react to the latest news and notes in the world of Notre Dame football and recruiting. Ashton Pollard was out again this week as her voice recovers.

It was another entertaining and informative show, as the guys debated recent Notre Dame football and recruiting headlines:

— Former Fighting Irish and current LSU head coach Brian Kelly had some notable comments in the national media last week. The guys gave their thoughts on those comments.

— Notre Dame sophomore guard Rocco Spindler was spotted with the first-team offensive line during practice on Tuesday. What does Hyde make of that development?

— Of course, the guys had to discuss Detroit Martin Luther King five-star Dante Moore, the No. 9 overall prospect and No. 4 quarterback per the 2023 On3 Consensus. Where do the Irish stand for Moore?

Blue & Gold published its Cover 3 article this afternoon, which looked at the most important visitors for the spring game April 23. Hyde and Singer give the details on their selections.

Tim Hyde breaks down key Notre Dame OT target Charles Jagusah

“He’s a big, strong, prototypical right tackle. That’s the first thing I see on his tape. He’s 6-6, 300 pounds and a big dude on film. He’s tall, athletic and real, real physical. He’s a two-way player who lines up at nose guard a lot on his highlight film, which shows the endurance he has. He also just won a state championship in wrestling.

“You have to start prepping for the 2024 season because if Joe Alt and Blake Fisher are three-year starters, does one leave? Jagusah is a big body who is athletic. He’s not a guard. He looks like he could play right tackle next year. He’s that type of build.

“He says all the right things. He’s not out there dropping a top five and hyping everyone up. He’s an offensive lineman. You read in between the lines for what he’s looking at, and Notre Dame is high on his list.”
