Newsstand: Decision day for WR Braylon James, a major Notre Dame target
It’s the big day for Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point class of 2023 wide receiver Braylon James. He is expected to make his decision on CBS Sports HQ at 7:30 p.m. ET.
On March 4, James announced a top nine schools list of Texas, TCU, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Stanford and Oregon. From what Blue & Gold is told, Notre Dame, Stanford and TCU are expected to be among the hats on the table for James to choose from. It’s not a surprise for James, who is a fantastic student, to have three high academic schools as his finalists.
Notre Dame is considered the team to beat for James according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 96.8 percent.
James is the No. 107 overall recruit and No. 19 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
