If Notre Dame versus Maryland round two is as good as round one, NCAA women’s basketball fans are in for a treat in the first game of Saturday’s Sweet 16 slate. The No. 3 seed Fighting Irish (27-5) and the No. 2 seed Terrapins (27-6) meet for the second time this season at 11:30 a.m. ET (ESPN) at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.

Notre Dame is not the same team it was when the Irish lost by two points to the Terrapins on a buzzer-beater at home in South Bend Dec. 1. The Irish are without starting guards Olivia Miles and Dara Mabrey, both lost for the season to knee injuries. This will be the fifth game Notre Dame has played without Miles, a second-team Associated Press All-American. Mabrey has been out since Jan. 22.
