How Buckeyes will use offseason bulletin-board material

COLUMBUS — Another week of the Ohio State offseason, another loaded edition of Roommates with Cardale Jones and Tyvis Powell.

On this week’s show, Cardale and Tyvis respond to Oregon Athletic Director Rob Mullens, who said last week that Oregon will show Ohio State what Pac-12 football is like.

The guys certainly had thoughts about those comments.

“They have some great players in the Pac-12, but come on, man,” Powell said on the show. I get you’re trying to fire your team up. But come on, man. It isn’t about to happen like that.”

Cardale made sure to chime in on the situation, too.

“I believe comments like that should stay within the program,” he said. “You don’t want to give your opponent fuel and give them more reason to want to come out and smash your face in.”

The guys also talk about what they would have done if an opposing athletic director said that leading up to a game they were about top play at Ohio State. The answer is sure to not disappoint.

“Let’s say they tweeted that back when you and I were there,” Powell said on the show. “We would’ve favorited the tweet, and leading up to the game we would’ve kept retweeting the tweet, and then after we blew them out, we would’ve put a bunch of memes and GIFs to humiliated their AD for saying this.”

That’s just part of what makes the latest edition of Roommates with Cardale Jones and Tyvis Powell a must-listen. They also break down the latest in the NBA playoffs, the decision by tennis star Naomi Osaka to withdraw from the French Open and how important mental health is for athletes.

The latest show is loaded with fun and intriguing storylines. Don’t miss it.
