COLUMBUS — After dropping its third-straight game over the weekend in Iowa, Ohio State men’s hoops suffered the consequences of consecutive losses and fell all the way out of the latest AP Top-25 poll for college basketball rankings.

Since returning to conference play on a six-game winning streak, the Buckeyes have since fallen to Michigan State at home, as well as Rutgers and the Hawkeyes on the road. Five teams from the Big Ten remain in this week’s poll with Michigan and Michigan State in the Top 10 at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively, along with Maryland (No. 19), Iowa (No. 23)  Indiana (No. 25) all checking in this week.

Chris Holtmann’s squad now sits at 12-4 on the season overall, but just 2-3 in the conference play — good for the bottom half of the standings. Ohio State now returns back to the Schottenstein Center for two home matchups with Maryland and Purdue.
