On3 Massey Ratings Top 25 in Ohio ahead of Week 10 action
COLUMBUS — Ohio is regarded as one of the gem states when it comes to high school football. The Buckeye State year in and year out produces plenty of college talent from FBS all the way to Division III.
This is the last week in the regular season and Lettermen Row runs through the On3 Massey Ratings of the top 25 teams in the state.
No. 1 Archbishop Moeller (9-1)
The No. 1 team in Ohio lies in the Queen City of Cincinnati and Archbishop Moeller is rolling through its schedule. Moeller is on a five-game win streak and has its final regular season game of the year at Muskegon (Mich).
No. 2 Massillon Washington (7-2)
Massillon Washington are the reigning Division II champs and have played a national schedule this fall. The Tigers host nearby rival Canton McKinley.
No. 3 Walsh Jesuit (9-0)
Walsh Jesuit is one win away from a perfect regular season. The Warriors are at home this Friday against Padua Franciscan.
No. 4 Marion Local (9-0)
Marion Local did its part last week to remain unbeaten. The Flyers hit the road for a battle of undefeated teams when they play at Coldwater.
No. 5 Avon (9-0)
Avon travels to nearby Avon Lake for one of the biggest games in Northeast Ohio this fall. The Eagles have 2026 four-star ATH Jakob Weatherspoon on their defense, an Ohio State lean.
No. 6 Akron Archbishop Hoban (7-2)
Archbishop Hoban boasts one of the best defensive units in the state and continues to take care of business. The Knights travel to St. Edward.
No. 7 Anderson (9-0)
Anderson kept its undefeated strike alive in Week Nine action behind an exciting win over Winton Woods. The Raptors travel to Loveland.
No. 8 St. Xavier (6-3)
St. Xavier, led by quarterback Chase Herbstreit, the son of Kirk Herbstreit, got back into the win column last week. The Bombers look to stay in the win column with a home game against Life Christian Academy (Va).
No. 9 Toledo Central Catholic (8-1)
If Archbishop Hoban doesn’t have the best defense in the state, then that title belongs to Central Catholic. The Irish are riding a five-game win streak and will try to make that six games. Central Catholic hosts Toledo St. Francis de Sales
No. 10 Lakota West (8-1)
The Firebirds of Lakota West are year in and year out one of the premier programs in the state. It holds a six-game win streak and looks for that to continue with a road game at Mason.
2026 ATH Cam Thomas plays for the Firebirds and the program also produced Ohio State sophomore safety Malik Hartford.
No. 11 St. Edward (5-4)
St. Edward has been the best team in Division I for the last three years, winning the state championship in three consecutive seasons. The Eagles host No. 6 Archbishop Hoban on Saturday.
No. 12 Bishop Watterson (9-0)
Columbus Bishop Watterson made it all the way to the Division III state title game last season and wound up losing. The Eagles, who graduated over 20 seniors, haven’t gone anywhere. They host 8-1 St. Francis de Sales on Friday.
No. 13 Mentor (9-0)
Mentor takes its nine-game win streak into week 10 competition at Euclid.
No. 14 Coldwater (9-0)
Coldwater sets the standard when it comes to football excellence in Northwest Ohio. The Cavaliers host undefeated Marion Local in a pivotal game.

No. 15 Winton Woods (8-1)
Winton Woods lost its first game of the season last week in a double-digit loss against Anderson. The Warriors look to get back on track with a home game against Lebanon.
No. 16 Pickerington North (8-1)
One of the powerhouse programs of Central Ohio, Pickerington North, has very quietly had a strong 2024 campaign. The Panthers host Gahanna Lincoln on Friday.
No. 17 Medina Highland (9-0)
Highland is one win away from perfection, but it’s going to be a battle to get there. The Hornets travel to undefeated Aurora.
No. 18 Ursuline (8-1)
All of the talk about high school football in Northeast Ohio usually goes toward the Cleveland area, but don’t sleep on Youngstown either. Ursuline is an elite program and will go for its ninth win of the season on Friday against Cardinal Mooney.
No. 19 Wapakoneta (9-0)
Wapakoneta is one win away from an undefeated season. The Redskins travel to Celina on Friday.
No. 20 Princeton (7-2)
Princeton is in a good position heading toward the playoffs, but it still has to close out the regular season. The Vikings host Colerain on Friday.
No. 21 La Salle (7-2)
La Salle is another premier program out of Cincinnati and it continues to have a strong 2024 campaign. The Lancers look to make it two consecutive wins to close out the season. They have an away game at Elder on Friday.
No. 22 Ironton (8-1)
The Fighting Tigers make their way over to Portsmouth on Friday looking to secure their ninth win of the season.
No. 23 Olentangy Orange (8-1)
One of three Central Ohio teams ranked in the top 25 is Olentangy Orange. The Pioneers are under a resurgence with new head coach Wes Schroeder and are slated to have a high seed in their division. Orange hosts crosstown rival Olentangy Liberty on Friday.
No. 24 Elder (5-4)
A new team in the top 25 ahead of week 10 action. Elder may not have the record to show its talent, but the Panthers aren’t slouches. They host La Salle on Friday.
No. 25 Wadsworth (9-0)
Wadsworth has fought to stay undefeated this season, marked by two separate overtime wins. The Grizzlies look to avoid overtime this week against Solon in order to pick up their ninth win of the year.
