Ohio State at Washington: Kickoff time, TV channel announced

COLUMBUS — Ohio State will make the trip to the Pacific Northwest for a road game against the Washington Huskies on Sept. 27. That game now has an official kickoff time and television assignment.

The Buckeyes will face the Huskies in the 3:30 p.m. EST/12:30 PST slot on CBS, a marquee spot for a big-time Big Ten game.

Ohio State is making its second trip West in the new, expanded Big Ten. The Buckeyes traveled to Oregon for a huge showdown against the Ducks and lost 32-31 last October. Now they’ll be facing the Huskies on the road.

Washington has won 20 straight home games.

But Ohio State is the No. 1 team in the country and is coming off an impressive three-game stretch of nonconference games to open the season. The Buckeyes are also resting this week as part of an idle week before hitting the road for the long trip.

The Buckeyes are 9-3 all-time against Washington, winning each of the last four matchups — including the 2019 Rose Bowl, which Ohio State won 28-23. Ohio State has faced the Huskies six times in Washington and has a 4-2 overall record in that stadium.

But this might be the biggest challenge the Buckeyes have ever faced in The Evergreen State. They’ll kick off against a resurgent Washington program at 3:30 p.m. on CBS in a couple of weeks.
