COLUMBUS – Ohio State may have righted the ship with its big win over Akron on Saturday night. It won’t take long for the Buckeyes to see if the improvements are enough.

Big Ten play returns this weekend for the Buckeyes as they travel to the east coast to face Rutgers at 3:30 p.m. in New Jersey.

And Tim May returns for another edition of the Tim May Podcast to break down the Buckeyes. Tim is joined by Lettermen Row senior writer Austin Ward to analyze a Buckeyes defense centered around budding young talent that was flying around on Saturday night and making plays, some of which weren’t made earlier in the season.

They go through a detailed look at the Buckeyes offense and how Kyle McCord may or may not have put himself into the middle of the Ohio State starting quarterback moving forward. And they also touch on the K’Vaughan Pope sideline outburst and subsequent dismissal from the football program.

Tim also made sure to get a defensive breakdown from national-title winning Ohio State linebacker Matt Wilhelm, who played for the Buckeyes from 1999-2002. Wilhelm and May dive into what went wrong on defense early in the season, what has improved and what needs to be done to take the next big steps.

It makes the latest edition of this show a must-listen full of intrigue on both sides of the ball for Ohio State.
