K.J. Hill WR Week

COLUMBUS — There is no point in denying that the losses at wide receiver hurt Ohio State, and Brian Hartline didn’t even bother.

In fact, the second-year position coach made it no secret just how much it stung when the realization hit that the Buckeyes wouldn’t have Terry McLaurin, Johnnie Dixon and Parris Campbell back to work with this season.

“It’s definitely different,” Hartline said during spring camp. “That’s why when they left, I cried — literally. One, from a culture standpoint and a relationship standpoint just how we had got to know each other. And I’m sure I’m going to do that again this year.

“But we’re developing right now, and it’s a lot of fun.”

If there weren’t so many talented targets waiting in the wings, those practices in March and April might not have been quite so enjoyable for Ohio State. But Hartline again has the makings of a loaded group in the Zone 6 meeting room, and there’s no reason to think the Buckeyes won’t be able to get meet the high standard for that unit.

Why is there so much confidence? Lettermen Row has been doing plenty of film study on those guys on BuckIQ, and as part of Wide Receiver Week, we’re putting the episodes all in one spot to catch up on all the episodes featuring that position.
