COLUMBUS — Ohio State yet again has multiple players selected to an All-American team.

This time, it’s The Sporting News that is honoring the Buckeyes season, adding three Ohio State players to its All-American team on Tuesday.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is a first-team selection, while linebacker Tommy Eichenberg and right tackle Dawand Jones were named second-team All-Americans.

Marvin Harrison Jr. already became first consensus All-American wide receiver at Ohio State since Terry Glenn, who earned that distinction in 1995, when he cracked the AP All-American first team on Monday.

No Buckeyes wide receiver has ever been named a unanimous first-team All-American. Harrison has a chance to become the first if he is named a first-teamer in the eyes the American Football Coaches Association, which is the final All-American list and will be released Wednesday.

Harrison, a Biletnikoff Award finalist, had 72 catches for 1,157 yards receiving and 12 receiving touchdowns this fall. Oh, and he had just one drop all season on 108 targets, a remarkable stat given his usage as the go-to weapon for quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Harrison did not, however, win the Biletnikoff Award, which has a goal of being given annually to the country’s top wide receiver. Tennessee receiver Jalin Hyatt won the award.

This is the fifth All-American team to include Eichenberg. All five have listed him as a second-team selection. Jones has been named to three All-American teams, two as a second-teamer and one as a first-team selection.
