J.T. Tuimoloau had a built-in excuse to show up at Ohio State and not play much as a freshman. The five-star, No. 1 overall player in the country by some recruiting services didn't get on campus for the Buckeyes until mid-July. He didn't have spring practice with coaches or summer workouts with the strength staff. But rather than using that excuse as a crutch to help him through his freshman season, Tuimoloau has attacked his first year on campus and earned an uptick in defensive reps.
