COLUMBUS — Ohio State and Michigan didn’t expect The Game to move off its annual channel or time slot.

But it’s still nice to have it officially in the Noon window for the last weekend in November. And that’s exactly what FOX did on Monday. The Nov. 26 rivalry showdown will kick at Noon inside the Horseshoe and on FOX.

Ohio State will face Michigan with revenge on its mind for the first time since 2012. The Buckeyes lost to the Wolverines in Ann Arbor back in November, ending their Big Ten title and College Football Playoff dreams.

After hearing talk about the from their rivals at nearly every turn this offseason, the Buckeyes are already locked in on that late November game that could again decide who goes to Indianapolis from the Big Ten East.

Ohio State certainly hasn’t forgotten what happened in the Big House six months ago.

“Yeah, I’m really mad, actually,” center Luke Wypler said during a spring interview just hours after he saw The Game from last year on a TV screen earlier that morning. “Even this morning, there were the highlights with the Big Ten playing the hourlong version of The Game upstairs — that TV almost came down. … That was a little extra motivation right there. I think anytime you see those colors or hear that name, it definitely clicks with you and gets you going in the morning.

“Hey, I think that Team Up North is something that is always in the back of our minds. I don’t think that feeling actually sits well with anybody in this building.”

Ohio State has to wait until the end of November to get that anger from the rivalry loss out. But the table is already set for a Noon showdown in the Horseshoe. The Buckeyes will certainly be ready.
