COLUMBUS – After being showcased under the lights in back-to-back weeks, Ohio State is returning to a mid-day kickoff time.

The Buckeyes will square off with Nebraska in the afternoon on Nov. 6 as they travel to face the Cornhuskers in Lincoln. The exact kickoff time and the network it will be broadcast on, however, is to be determined as the television networks have delayed the decision on both.

Ohio State will face Nebraska at either noon, 3:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. (all times Eastern) on Nov. 6, so the Buckeyes will not be playing in primetime for a third straight week.

Ohio State is coming off four consecutive blowout, dominating wins as the Buckeyes have continued to send a message to the Big Ten that it is the best team in the conference and has made it clear they are one of the most dangerous teams in college football.

The Cornhuskers, meanwhile, have lost two straight games to Michigan and Minnesota and have been competitive in each of their five losses this season. Scott Frost’s program has lost each game by one possession with an average margin of defeat of five points.

The Buckeyes and Cornhuskers have been on entirely different trajectories over the past month, and they will now clash at Memorial Stadium. Ohio State’s last trip to Lincoln resulted in a 48-7 demolition of the Cornhuskers under the spotlight of ESPN’s College GameDay.

Ohio State is hoping it will be more of the same as it rolls through the rest of its Big Ten slate.

First up for the Buckeyes, though, is a test against Penn State as the Buckeyes host the Nittany Lions in a top-20 matchup in primetime on Saturday night.

“We’ve got to get right back on this film here with Penn State because they have a very, very good defense, and this is going to be the biggest challenge of the year coming up,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. “So it’s good we do have some confidence, and we are playing at a high level. But that’s not gonna mean anything if we don’t do it again next week.”
