Who graded as champion in Buckeyes win over Rutgers?

Ohio State cruised to a 49-27 win over Rutgers on Saturday night to improve to 3-0. But before the Buckeyes can turn their full attention to a road trip to a confident Maryland team, they made sure to release the name of champions from the blowout win over Rutgers in primetime.

Of course, Justin Fields, Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson were offensive champions. And playmakers Shaun Wade and Jonathon Cooper earned the honor, as well. But who else graded as a champion? The list is here:

New Lettermen Live hosted by Roosters

After another blowout win, this time against Rutgers, Ohio State appears to be gearing up for another run at the College Football Playoff, and Lettermen Live hosted by Roosters is back to break down every angle of the Buckeyes through three games.

Lettermen Row senior writer Austin Ward is joined by former Ohio State players Michael Bennett, Doug Worthington, Justin Zwick and Anthony Schlegel for a discussion about the Buckeyes weird, wild blowout win over Rutgers. The guys break down their biggest takeaways, the run-game struggles, how to assess the team after the weirdness that was the win over Rutgers and more. The panel also breaks down the upcoming road trip to Maryland, a team that has won two straight games.

Nicole Cox from Roosters also joined the show to give an update about how to safely watch the Buckeyes while enjoying Roosters this fall and give a game pick of her own for Saturday.

Five-star cornerback joins Birminology

Questions about the Michigan program have opened up a door for Ohio State, LSU, USC and others in the recruitment of five-star cornerback and Michigan legacy Will Johnson.

The Buckeyes are working hard to encourage him to make the short trip to Columbus in the near future and for his foreseeable future and Johnson is definitely listening, thanks in major part to the recruiting being done by the Ohio State 2022 recruiting class, namely C.J. Hicks, Dasan McCullough and Bennett Christian.

What else does Will Johnson have to say about Ohio State? How much pressure does he feel to stay home and following his father’s footsteps by playing for the home-state Wolverines? Will he and fellow 5-star cornerback Domani Jackson continue to plan on playing together at the next level?

Find out the answers to those questions and more in the latest episode of Birminology from Lettermen Row.
