COLUMBUS — Several members from the Ohio State 2023 class made their senior season debuts this weekend.

The Buckeyes have 20 members in its class and 17 played in week one action in recent days.

Lettermen Row will break down the performance of each Ohio State commit throughout the fall and keep a running log of the performances on a weekly basis.

First, we’ll start with the Buckeyes offensive commits. 9 of the 11 Ohio State offensive commits started their senior seasons this weekend.

Let’s dive in.

Quarterback

Four-star Lausanne Collegiate School (Memphis, Tennessee) quarterback Brock Glenn started his senior season Friday night with a 45-15 win over Southwind.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound talent finished 9-15 for 195 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He also did some damage on the ground and finished with four rushes for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Glenn continued to piece together a talented reel showing why he’ll be competitive when he joins the Buckeyes.

Running back

Four-star American Heritage (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) tailback Mark Fletcher made a series of plays in the Patriots 38-20 win over Lowndes (Georgia) on Saturday.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pound running back totaled 134 yards and a touchdown in his senior season debut. Fletcher displayed big play abilities on his 51-yard touchdown score.

Wide receivers

Staying with American Heritage, five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss showed exactly why he’s such a highly-rated prospect.

The near 6-foot, 190-pound wide receiver only had six catches. But they totaled for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Not a shabby week one debut by any means.

Another future Ohio State talent within the Sunshine State made his 2022 debut Friday. Four-star wideout Bryson Rodgers and Wiregrass Ranch kicked off its season in a sour 34-0 loss to Coldwater Central Catholic.

Rounding out the 2023 wide receiver haul is five-star Rolesville (North Carolina) talent Noah Rogers. Rogers and Rolesville defeated Pinecrest 52-28 and Rogers made a slew of catches including a 67-yard touchdown grab.

Tight end

The Buckeyes lone tight end commit four-star Jelani Thurman was productive as ever in his senior debut at Langston Hughes. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound weapon hauled in a touchdown pass and a two point conversion in a 36-9 win.

Offensive linemen

While the outcomes might not have been what they wanted, three of the Buckeyes offensive line commits played well in their season debuts.

Four-star Findlay (Ohio) talent Luke Montomgery hardly stepped off the field in the Trojans 9-6 loss to Anthony Wayne on Friday.

Another in-state four-star talent Josh Padilla played well for Wayne in its 41-28 loss. While the score tells one thing, the tape says another. Padilla held his blocks well in the run game and his sets in the pass game were solid.

The last offensive commit who played this week was four-star Lakota East (Ohio) product, Austin Siereveld. Siereveld led an offensive line to 11 first downs in 43 plays even though the Thunderhawks lost 9-6 to Centerville.
