COLUMBUS — Winston Watkins Jr. is one of the nation’s most talented receivers in the class of 2025.

His new offer from Brian Hartline and Ohio State is testament to that.

Watkins, a 5-foot-10, 172-pound playmaker out of Fort Myers (Fla.) IMG Academy, worked out at the Buckeyes’ one-day camp Tuesday and by the end of the day, an offer was all but certain.

Committed to Texas A&M since December, Watkins has still been visiting schools around the country with a long road to go in his recruiting process. Watkins, the cousin of former Clemson standout Sammy Watkins, camped with the Tigers just last week.

“Things have picked up,” Watkins previously told On3. “They’re fast-paced. Everybody recognizes who I am and what I do. It’s been a great experience. I’m glad that it’s happening early. I can get connected with them before I get older.”

He already visited the Buckeyes back in April and Power 5 offers have been piling on over the last couple of months. Offers include Texas A&M, Florida State, Florida, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas in addition to Ohio State.

Watkins joins 2026 Cincinnati West Clermont (Ohio) receiver Chris Henry Jr. in being offered by the Buckeyes during camp this week.

Ohio State offers 2023 quarterback Brock Glenn

The Buckeyes sent out another offer Tuesday — this one to 2023 Lausanne Collegiate (Memphis, Tennessee) quarterback Brock Glenn. Glenn was not a camp attendee this week but received an offer from Ohio State nonetheless.

Glenn is a three-star quarterback ranked No. 448 nationally in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Although a heavy Auburn favorite per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Glenn’s Ohio State offer is his biggest yet and the Buckeyes do not yet have a quarterback committed in its 2023 class.
