COLUMBUS — Ohio State players continue to find their way on preseason watch lists and more found another list at the turn into the regular season.

Nine Buckeyes were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason watch list on Wednesday.

Cornerback Cameron Brown, defensive tackle Jerron Cage, defensive end Tyler Friday, defensive end Zach Harrison, defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste, offensive tackle Dawand Jones, offensive guard Matthew Jones, safety Josh Proctor and defensive lineman Taron Vincent were all named to the list.

Ohio State year in and year out sends plenty of talent to the senior bowl. The Buckeyes sent two seniors to last year’s edition of the scouting event — Haskell Garrett and Tyreke Smith — and both were picked by teams in the NFL.

A brief overview of each of the nine players.

Cameron Brown

Cameron Brown enters his final season at Ohio State with plenty of experience despite an injury-filled background. He’s part of the ‘banged up’ cornerbacks room from this year’s training camp but is anticipated on playing in the Buckeyes season opener against Notre Dame.

Brown has 40 career tackles and one career interception in only 28 games played.

Jerron Cage

Jerron Cage received a large boost in his stock last season after his performance against Penn State. The 6-foot-2, 305-pound defensive tackle recovered a fumble for a scoop-and-score against the Nittany Lions.

Cage has 20 tackles in 31 games played for Ohio State

Tyler Friday

Tyler Friday returns for his final season with the Buckeyes after missing last season due to injury. Friday will figure to be part of the defensive line rotation for position coach Larry Johnson this year.

Friday has 18 tackles in 25 games played for the Buckeyes.

Zach Harrison

Zach Harrison will be one of the more closely-watched upperclassmen across college football. The former five-star prospect has shown flashes of his potential throughout the last three seasons at Ohio State, but hasn’t formed consistency.

Harrison has 72 tackles in 35 games played for the Buckeyes.

Javontae Jean-Baptiste

Javontae Jean-Baptiste enters his final season looking to replicate — and even elevate — his production from last year. He totaled 14 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss last season.

Jean-Baptiste has 34 tackles in 34 games played for Ohio State.

Dawand Jones

Dawand Jones is one of the anchors on the Buckeyes revamped offensive line this season. Jones earned a litany of postseason accolades last season including Second-Team All-Big Ten Conference.

Matthew Jones

Matthew Jones is an experienced interior offensive lineman and returns for one final go at Ohio State. Jones is an anticipated starter this season and should lead a reenergized unit up front.

Josh Proctor

Josh Proctor has dealt with a slew of injuries over his career, but he returns healthy for his final fall in Columbus.

Proctor was a defensive hero in the 2020 Big Ten Championship against Northwestern with four tackles, one interception and one pass break-up.

Proctor has 44 tackles in 29 games played for the Buckeyes

Taron Vincent

Taron Vincent is another seasoned defensive tackle at Ohio State. The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Maryland native gives the Buckeyes depth and experience at a critical time in their defensive transition between new coordinators.

Vincent has 35 tackles in 27 games played for Ohio State
