COLUMBUS — Ohio State traditionally has had the ability to run the ball at will against any of its opponents.

Last season, however, proved pragmatic to the standard and it showed. The Buckeyes finished an atypical No. 47 last season in total run offense and there are plenty of reasons why.

But with plenty of experience in the backfield returning that includes TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams and Evan Pryor, the Buckeyes look to return to their normal ways.

Practice No. 2 concluded with running backs coach Tony Alford and running backs were available following the practice. Lettermen Row staffers Spencer Holbrook and Tim May return with another post-practice and availability video breaking down what they learned.

How will TreVeyon Henderson carry his impressive freshman season into a sophomore campaign? Is this finally the year for Miyan Williams to establish a more consistent role as one of the older guys in the room? Can Evan Pryor make it a three-headed monster in the backfield for Ohio State and lighten the load for quarterback C.J. Stroud and the wide receivers?

Alford provided plenty of clarity on how the Buckeyes are working toward where they are used to being — running the ball at will. Behind a new offensive line coach in Justin Frye, the momentum and newfound energy in the trenches are permeating into a seasoned backfield for Ohio State.
