Terry McLaurin keeps proving leadership at elite level
Terry McLaurin was a captain and leader for the Buckeyes during his time at Ohio State, starring as both a wide receiver and a punt returner. Now in the NFL with the Washington Football Team, he is doing more of the same.
McLaurin has had a brilliant start to his career after being drafted in the third round of the 2019 draft. On Wednesday, he was named a captain of the Washington Football Team by head coach Ron Rivera. McLaurin has been more vocal this season for Washington, and when veteran safety Landon Collins went to the Injured Reserve list, Washington lost a captain.
And Washington found one in McLaurin, who continues to impress in the NFL after an incredible career with the Buckeyes.
Buckeyes land 2022 four-star tight end
No visit to Ohio State turned out to be no problem for East Surry (Pilot Mountain, N.C.) High School 4-star prospect Benji Gosnell.
The country’s No. 11-ranked tight end has committed to Ohio State over Florida and North Carolina, two of the schools that also stood out to him among his 18 early scholarship offers.
Three weeks ago, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Gosnell joined Birminology to discuss his recruitment and made it clear that his relationship with the Buckeyes was helping keep the program at the front of his recruitment.
Now, though he’s not yet been to Columbus, Gosnell is a part of the future for Ohio State because of the relationship with Wilson and his fellow commitments, especially tight end Bennett Christian. His family, including his brother Stephen — a freshman at North Carolina — signed off on the decision. That makes Gosnell the seventh member of the Buckeyes 2022 recruiting class.
Buckeyes players meet with media to preview Rutgers
Ohio State running back Master Teague, wide receiver Chris Olave, guard Harry Miller, defensive tackle Tommy Togiai and linebacker Pete Werner met with the media Wednesday to recap the Buckeyes win over Penn State and turn their focus to the November slate, including a home game against Rutgers on Saturday.
After the media session with the Buckeyes, Lettermen Row senior writer Austin Ward was joined by Jeremy Birmingham and Tim May to break down what they learned from those conversations and talk about Harry Miller’s progression. It’s the Practice Report presented by Byers Auto!
