What does it mean for the Buckeyes? Let’s check it out.

Who is Simeon Caldwell?

Simeon Caldwell is a four-star safety from Jacksonville, Florida. He attended The Bolles School High School. Caldwell committed to Ohio State on April 3, 2025 just days after top-75 safety Blaine Bradford chose the Buckeyes over hometown LSU. Bradford also had offers from Florida State, Notre Dame, Miami and others.

Rivals Industry Rankings: No. 183 overall, No. 16 safety, No. 26 in Florida

Rivals Ranking: No. 27 safety and No. 43 in Florida

Height: 6-foot-1.5

Weight: 195 pounds

Hometown: Jacksonville, Florida

High School: The Bolles School

Scouting Report: “Caldwell is one of the most physically imposing safety prospects in the 2026 class. At 6-foot-1.5 and 195 pounds, Caldwell plays all over the field for Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School on Friday nights but he’s best closer to the line of scrimmage. On his junior film, Caldwell lined up at safety, in the slot, at linebacker and even on the end of the line of scrimmage as a stand up edge defender. He is about as sure of a tackler as you’ll find at the high school level. He excels at keying the ball and attacking down hill. Caldwell is more than capable in coverage as well. He is a bit high cut which makes it harder for him to flip his hips quickly but he is still good in man coverage.”
