Appalachian State offensive lineman Troy Everett is transferring to Oklahoma, he announced Friday.

Everett started six games at center for the Mountaineers in 2022 and appeared in 10 of their 12 games. He also earned Second Team Freshman All-American honors from The Athletic. After entering the transfer portal this spring, he received immediate interest from Oklahoma, which lacks interior offensive line depth.

Everett will battle for playing time, notably with senior center Andrew Raym, for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2023 and figures to be a key contributor in the future. With three years of eligibility remaining, Everett appears to be a key piece for offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh moving forward.
