OU controls its own destiny to the College Football Playoff. That's the first time that can be said this late into November during the Brent Venables era. The only other time the Sooners have been playing meaningful football at this point in the season the last four years was in 2023, when they lost on Nov. 4 to Oklahoma State, ending their chances at making the playoff.
