The Ole Miss Spirit’s Zach Berry and the the Legal Gambling Counsel return for an all-new, ‘Hit That Line’ edition of ‘The Flagship’ to preview  Week 14 in college football. 

But first, the guys have some gripes (read: YELLING) to hash out about the College Football Playoff rankings. They also preview Ole Miss’ Egg Bowl matchup with in-state rival Mississippi State and pick winners.

FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHT

The Egg Bowl and Thanksgiving have become synonymous,. 

The rivalry has been held 32 times on the holiday, including six of the last seven. 

However, 2024 moves to Black Friday for only the fifth time in 121 contests. This will be the first time the game will be played on a Friday since 2008, a 45-0 Ole Miss win. It joins previous series matchups on Friday in in 1916 (L, 36-0), 1921 (L, 27-7) and 2007 (L, 17-14).

This year’s iteration of the Egg Bowl will be just the third true ‘Battle for the Golden Egg’ held on a Friday. The 1916 and 1921 meetings were before the trophy was introduced in 1927.

Ole Miss will honor its senior class prior to kickoff against Mississippi State.
