On3 Consensus four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada is on his official visit to Ole Miss this weekend. The Pittsburg, Calif., prospect will almost certainly take in the 2022 Grove Bowl this afternoon as well as Double Decker Arts Festival on the historic town square.

But he also made time to check out head coach Lane Kiffin’s house and his garage. The country’s 57th overall prospect per the On3 Consensus posted a tweet of him, the head coach and a puppy, posing in front of Kiffin’s Rolls Royce Phantom.

The 6-foot-5, 173 pound signal caller was originally scheduled to visit Oregon this weekend for their spring game, but decided to push that visit back and travel to Oxford, Miss., to check out the Ole Miss spring game instead.

On3’s Barkley Truax recently wrote about the Ducks’ surge to take the lead in Rashada’s RPM after the Rebels were the runaway leaders for a good bit.

There is a new leader for 2023 four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The Oregon Ducks now have a 48.7% chance to land the top-10 quarterback. The shift comes after On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons lowered the confidence level of his Ole Miss prediction.

Currently, the Rebels sit a just a 9.9% on the RPM.

The Ducks want Rashada on campus for their annual spring game this weekend. Oregon is also making Rashada a top priority in the 2023 cycle.

“If you’re Oregon, there are two options here,” Scoop Duck’s Justin Hopkins said. “Either push hard to get him here for the spring game with the other top recruits. Or hold off a week or two and be his last visit. Both have merits. You can make an argument for either visit.

“I do think Oregon has clawed its way back into the top two range. And could possibly even lead. The additions of Josh Conerly and Kyler Kasper certainly move the needle. Rashada is definitely high on Oregon.”

As it stands, Oregon has two commitments in their 2023 recruiting class: four-star athlete Cole Martin and three-star defensive lineman Tevita Pome’e. Could the Ducks be one step closer to adding Rashada’s name to that list after a spring game visit? That remains to be seen, but Hopkins stands firm that the Ducks will find a quarterback from the high school ranks this recruiting cycle, whether it’s Rashada or another major prospect.

Miami is still very much involved here, sitting at 30.0% on On3’s RPM, second to Oregon. Hurricanes’ head coach Mario Cristobal built a strong relationship with Rashada while he was at Oregon and it has carried over now that he is in South Beach.

Can Ole Miss turn things back in their favor this weekend with a big push?

The car and dog seems to have made an impression so far.
