Ole Miss 14, Mississippi State 10 1:45 2Q
The defense is doing all it can to keep State from the end zone and after a long run by Bouthwell it holds the Bulldogs to a 40-yard field goal attempt that is good.
Offsetting personal foul calls and the pass was ruled incomplete. But another overthrow by Chambliss forces another punt. Rebels should’ve downed it at at the one yard-line but let it go into the end zone.
Well after trading punts and kind of lulling everyone to sleep a good old fashioned Egg Bowl fight breaks out after Chambliss is hit and the ball comes out, initially ruled a fumble but being reviewed. Refs are stil meeting about the extra curriculars after the play.

The Egg Bowl has arrived and not a moment too soon for Ole Miss fans after two weeks of a coaching soap opera drama with Lane Kiffin has dominated the college football universe.
No. 7 Ole Miss (10-1, 6-1 SEC) is looking for its third straight win over Mississippi State (5-6, 1-6) and second-straight win in Starkville. But more importantly a win can make program history with the first 11-win regular season and a College Football Playoff bid all but locked up.
The Kiffin drama will be settled on Saturday, or is “expected” to according to a statement last week from athletics director Keith Carter. But for now, all focus is on keeping the golden egg trophy in Oxford for another 365 days.
On the injury front Antonio Kite is out after returning for the Florida game two weeks ago. Kite suffered an injury in the Oklahoma game and missed South Carolina and The Citadel. The Ole Miss secondary will be down a starter today.
The Rebels are currently 7-point favorites over the Bulldogs on BetMGM.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.mm. CT on ABC. Keep it here once the game starts for highlights, score updates and more.
