Ole Miss' Quinshon Judkins named Walter Camp First-Team Preseason All American
The 2023 college football season is still over five months away but Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins is already picking up accolades ahead of his sophomore campaign.
On Friday Judkins represented Ole Miss by being named a Walter Camp First-Team Preseason All American, which was announced by the Walter Camp Foundation.
Expectations were already high for Judkins and his second year at Ole Miss after earning the regular season Southeastern Conference rushing title his freshman season.
This latest honor joins a long list from Judkins’ historic freshman season in 2022, during which the Ole Miss running back was named CBS’ National Freshman of the Year, On3’s Offensive True Freshman of the Year, the SEC Newcomer and SEC Freshman of the Year.
Three different publications also named Judkins to First Team All-American lists.
Judkins rushed for 1,565 yards (which was an Ole Miss record in a single-season) and 16 touchdowns (another program record in a season) last year, which was good enough to make him the 11th best running back in the country.
Ole Miss shattered the previous single season rushing record, accumulating 3,336 total rushing yards in 2022. The previous record was set in 1957.
Judkins is the youngest member of the first-team offense, and was selected as one of two running backs nationally alongside Michigan senior Blake Corum.
The Rebels, which are wrapping up the second week of spring practice, opens up the 2023 season on September 2 when it hosts Mercer.
