Travis Dye will enter the transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports. Dye, who led the Ducks in both rushing and receiving yards in 2021, was Oregon’s most veteran and accomplished running back heading in 2022 if he had chosen to stay. His departure leaves the Ducks with Byron Cardwell, Sean Dollars, and Seven McGee as the lone scholarship backs entering next season.

It was speculated that Dye could enter into the 2022 NFL Draft, so his departure is not entirely unexpected; however, a transfer was not rumored. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning is reportedly hosting 2022 RB Jordan James this weekend. James is committed to Georgia, Lanning’s former school, but did not sign in December.
