Oregon emerged from its Week 2 win over Eastern Washington relatively healthy, with only a handful of injury concerns.

Thus far in the 2022 campaign, all-conference nose tackle Popo Aumavae, who is out for the season with a foot injury, is the only key contributor who is expected to miss significant time. But the Ducks were without senior offensive guard Ryan Walk on Saturday.

Walk started the season-opener against Georgia in Atlanta but did not play in the second half. Oregon coach Dan Lanning revealed in the days that followed that Walk was dealing with a foot injury but said it isn’t believed to be serious.

On Saturday, Walk was in uniform and went through pregame warmups but ultimately did not play against Eastern Washington. Marcus Harper II started in place of him, and Jackson Powers-Johnson also played plenty at guard during the blowout win.

While meeting with reporters for his weekly press conference on Monday, Lanning said that Walk probably could have played if needed in Week 2. From the sound of things, he will full-go for Oregon’s Week 3 showdown with No. 12 BYU.

“Ryan is one that we probably could have pushed out there,” Lanning said. “But I think it was a good opportunity to get some other guys that we wanted to be able to see. We’re very hopeful that he’ll be back and able to help us this week.”

Sophomore receiver Seven McGee was the other notable injury concern for the Ducks in Week 2. He played 24 snaps at receiver for the Ducks but left midway through the game with what appeared to be a right lower leg injury.

When asked about McGee on Monday, Lanning said he should be good to go for the BYU game.

“Seven — same thing. We have some other guys that can help us there, but Seven will be ready to go,” Lanning said.
