Four-Star TE Riley Williams Sets Four Official Visits
One of the top offensive recruiting targets for Oregon is just North of Eugene. Central Catholic (Ore.) tight end Riley Williams is the top-ranked player in the state and the No. 3 ranked tight end in the country per the On3 Consensus Rankings.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder has visited Oregon multiple times but he will be back on campus for an official visit according to a report from 247Sports’ Brandon Huffman.
Williams has decided on four of his five official visits. They are as follows.
June 3: Alabama
June 10: Ohio State
June 17: Miami
June 24: Oregon
At the moment Riley Williams has not settled on his final official visit.
Williams told Huffman on Oregon:
Oregon: “I’ve grown up an Oregon fan all my life. I’ve had multiple family members attend Oregon. I love the new coaching staff, they are all great people. Me and coach (Drew) Mehringer have a strong relationship.”
Currently Oregon leads the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 84%. I also logged a pick in favor for the Ducks on February 15.
Scouting Summary:
Multi-functional tight end prospect that is a mismatch in the passing game. Possesses the prototype frame and build that should be physically ready to see the field in year one. Produced at a high level reeling in 36 catches for 889 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. Has the ability to play as a true in-line Y, flex out in the slot or out wide as a receiver. Drives his legs on contact as a run blocker and looks to finish plays. Shows impressive twitch and the ability to separate as a route runner for someone his size. Uses his size to box out smaller defensive backs in contested catch situations. One of the best tight end talents in the country who could be primed for an early impact in college.
