Oregon entered its Week 3 matchup with Stony Brook dealing with a plethora of injuries at key positions. After their beatdown of the Seawolves, the Ducks emerged with a few more injuries.

On Monday, Mario Cristobal provided updates on a few of Oregon’s dinged-up players.

Starting quarterback Anthony Brown left the Stony Brook game with an undisclosed injury. On Saturday, Cristobal implied that the injury occurred at the end of the first half when Brown took sacks on back-to-back plays.

It sounds like Brown should be good-to-go for Saturday’s Pac-12 opener against Arizona, though.

“I feel good about Anthony,” Cristobal said. “He looks really good.”

Kayvon Thibodeaux was held out of the Stony Brook game. He has not played since the season-opener against Fresno State.

Cristobal said Thibodeaux is “getting better and better” but is still day-to-day. Linebacker Mase Funa is also day-to-day.

Oregon defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter said Thibodeaux told him he wanted to play against Stony Brook.

“But the doctors had not cleared him,” DeRuyter said.

DeRuyter went on to say he hopes to see Thibodeaux play this week, but it’s up to the doctors.

Offensive lineman Steven Jones left midway through the Stony Brook game with an injury and walked back to the locker room during the game to receive treatment. Cristobal said Jones is “good.”

Linebacker Keith Brown was in uniform Saturday but did not play. Cristobal said the Ducks were simply being cautious with Brown, and he practiced Sunday.

The only player that Cristobal implied might be out for the Arizona game is defensive end Bradyn Swinson. One of the bright spots of Oregon’s season thus far, Swinson had stellar showings against Fresno State and Ohio State.

But he missed the Stony Brook game, and Cristobal said Swinson is “doubtful” for Arizona and might be out another week.

Troy Franklin appeared to suffer an injury late in the game when he put his body on the line blocking for Dont’e Thornton on his touchdown catch. Franklin is “ready to roll” according to Cristobal.
