Jamieson isn’t the only former staff member back with the Ducks however, as longtime Oregon assistant Tony Stubblefield returns after being Depaul’s Head Coach for the past three seasons. Prior to his departure for the blue demons, Stubblefield was with the Ducks for eleven seasons.
In those eleven seasons, Stubblefield is credited for helping put together some of Oregon’s best recruiting classes. Four consecutive classes which were ranked in the top twelve nationally (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019). Notable players in some of those classes were: Troy Brown Jr., Bol Bol, Payton Pritchard, and Chris Duarte. Oregon saw an uptick in recruiting almost immediately following Stubblefield’s return as assistant coach, primarily in the transfer portal.
