The betting lines for the Week 5 college football slate have been released, and Oregon is a heavy favorite once again.

The No. 3 Ducks will head to Palo Alto this week to face Stanford (2-2, 1-1) in a game that is set for a 12:30 kickoff.

While many had high hopes for the Cardinal as a Pac-12 dark horse at the start of this season, they stumbled out the gates in Week 1 and missed out on a chance to upset No. 24 UCLA this past weekend.

All that equates to Stanford entering the weekend as a home underdog. Vegas Insider has Oregon as an eight-point favorite. It marks the fourth time this season the Ducks have entered a game as favorites, but this is the first instance they have not been favored by double digits.

Given Stanford’s recent improvements — specifically at the quarterback position — and the fact that Oregon has displayed a few defensive flaws throughout the season, Saturday’s showdown could be a thrilling one.
