Two of Oregon’s top signees in program history will be in the national spotlight on Tuesday.

Kame Evans Jr., a 5-star power forward, and Mookie Cook, a 4-star small forward, will both take part in the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game on Tuesday and face off with the top high school seniors in the nation.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. PT and will air on ESPN and the ESPN app.

Evans, a 6-foot-10, 200-pound forward, is the No. 12 overall prospect in the class according to On3. Cook, an Oregon native who played his final high school season at Compass Prep in Arizona, is a 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward who On3 tabbed as the No. 24 overall prospect in this class of 2023.

Cook, Evans, and 4-star point guard Jackson Shelstad form an Oregon recruiting class that On3 currently ranks as the fourth-best in the nation.

According to 247 Sports, Evans is the sixth-highest-rated Oregon signee in program history and Cook is the ninth-highest-rated.

Senior center N’Faly Dante is the only current Duck who is ranked higher than Evans and Cook.

Evans and Cook are the 10th and 11 Ducks to be selected in the history of the All-Star game.

Kel’el Ware, who spent the 2022-23 season with the Ducks before hitting the transfer portal this week, is Oregon’s most recent McDonald’s All-American Game selection after playing in last year’s contest. Current Oregon big man Nate Bittle was a 2021 selection.

Bol Bol and Louis King (2018), Troy Brown Jr. (2017), Michael Dunigan (2008), Malik Hairston (2004), Aaron Brooks (2003), and Luke Ridnour (2000) also played in the McDonald’s All-American Game prior to arriving at Oregon.
