Last year, Oregon hosted a huge recruiting weekend during its Spring Game. Visitors included eventual Oregon signees Jurrion Dickey, Rodrick Pleasant, Cole Martin and Blake Purchase, as well as such high-end targets as 5-stars David Hicks and Johntay Cook.

In Dan Lanning’s second season, the 2023 visitors’ list already figures to top last year’s. Two 5-star and top 5 recruits nationally already have scheduled visits for April 29.

On3’s No. 1 player in the country, edge Dylan Stewart, recently told Hayes Fawcett that his visits include a trip to Oregon’s spring game. Stewart will see a handful of other schools this spring, including Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama and Michigan.

The No. 10 player in the country, 5-star safety KJ Bolden from Georgia, recently connected with On3’s Chad Simmons and announced his visit schedule. He’ll be in Eugene on April 29 for Oregon’s Spring Game after having attended USC’s Spring Game two weeks prior.

A pair of athletes from the South will be in attendance: 3-star Bryant (Ark.) defensive lineman TJ Lindsey and 3-star Picayune (Miss.) linebacker Jamonta Waller. Waller attends the same high school as 2023 Oregon signee Dante Dowdell.

In the 2025 class, Oregon is set to host 4-star Jarcoby Hopson, another product of the Sip. Hipson, a hybrid playing both linebacker and defensive back, is ranked in the top 100 nationally early in the cycle.

In fact, area expert, Lawrence Hopkins (Dante Dowdell’s dad) told ScoopDuck he’ll be bringing roughly ten prospects with him to Oregon including the above mentioned Waller and Hopson.

Legacy quarterback Akili Smith Jr. will be on campus and take in the Spring
Game. The Southern California native, class of 2025, has earned offers from both Miami and Michigan recently and is continuing to pick up traction on the trail.

Another Peach Stater who will make the trip to Eugene alongside Bolden in Isaiah Gibson of Warner Robins. Gibson was quick to schedule a visit after Oregon offered.

The list is expected to grow and should feature top talent from all over the country.
