Oregon sophomore running back Bucky Irving burst onto the scene this season as one of the more dynamic playmakers in recent program history.

As a result, he has been named by Pro Football Focus as a first-team all-Pac-12 selection.

In 12 games this season, Irving has rushed for 909 yards on 143 carries (6.4 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. He has also caught 30 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Irving has garnered an 88.9 overall grade from PFF this season, which is second among Pac-12 running backs who play regularly behind only UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet (91.6).

Irving was the lone Oregon player on either side of the ball to earn first-team all-conference honors from PFF.

Cornerback Christian Gonzalez was a second-team defense selection.

Quarterback Bo Nix and receiver Troy Franklin earned third-team offense honors, while linebacker Noah Sewell and cornerback Trikweze Bridges each earned third-team defense honors.

Placekicker Cam Lewis was a third-team special teams selection.

It will come as a surprise to many who follow the program closely that no Oregon offensive lineman received all-conference recognition from PFF. The Ducks graded out as the publication’s fourth-best pass-blocking group in the nation. They allowed just four sacks on the season — the fewest in the country by a wide margin.

Jackson Powers-Johnson (83.5) received the third-highest PFF grade of any offensive lineman in the conference this season, and T.J. Bass was 13th at 78.8. Alex Forsyth (85.7) earned the fourth-best pass-blocking grade among Pac-12 offensive linemen.
