As Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi went to work assembling their Oregon defense in the spring, the three players who could ultimately dictate the ceiling of that group were stuck on the sideline, wearing matching shoulder slings. Popo Aumavae, Brandon Dorlus, and Keyon Ware-Hudson started a combined 37 games for Oregon in 2021. In a year when injuries devastated the linebacker corps and secondary, those three were often the most consistent facet of the Ducks' defense. With all three unavailable during spring ball, it left a glaring hole along the defensive front. But all three have been cleared to play and will be full-go to begin fall camp for the Ducks on Friday. During Oregon's media day on Wednesday, Aumavae, Dorlus, and Ware-Hudson all reflected on their time away from the football field and how it has motivated them for the upcoming season.
